Introduction

Welcome to Cyber English 10!!!  On this page, you will find tentative deadlines for work completion as well as special instructions for several offline activities.  Please check these special instructions before completing your offline activities, as they may shorten some of the assignments and/or make the work a bit easier for you!

Tentative Deadlines

The following deadlines have been set up to make sure that you have time to get your English work for Semester B completed.  Please know that these deadlines are only an example, and they are based on a student who is just beginning to work on Semester B on February 25 (Monday).  You may be further ahead in your work, and if so, NO WORRIES – CONTINUE THE GOOD WORK!  Please use this as a guide to help you through this semester.

**Please try to schedule to take your Unit Post-Tests and End-of-Semester Test soon after completing the work associated with each unit.  You can schedule a testing session through Mr. Capraun.**

Special Instructions

Unit 1 – Building Reading Strategies

  • There are NO special instructions for any items in Unit 1.

Unit 2 – Reading Science

  • There are NO special instructions for any items in Unit 2.

Unit 3 – Writing for Precision

  • For offline activity titled, “Owning Your Essay,” follow the directions, but you will ONLY NEED 2 SOURCES.
  • For offline activity titled, “Writing Business Letters,” DO NOT DO questions/activities 2D and 2E.
  • For offline activity titled, “Editing for Spelling and Punctuation,” DO NOT DO question/activity #3.

Unit 4 – Literary Analysis

  • For offline activity titled, “Characters and Motives,” follow the directions, however, DO NOT DO questions/activities #3 and #4.
  • For offline activity titled, “Response to Poetry,” follow the directions, however, DO NOT DO questions/activities #4 and #5.

Unit 5 – Narrative

  • There are NO special instructions for any items in Unit 5.

 

**If there are NO special instructions listed for offline activities that need to be completed, please just follow the instructions as they are written on the worksheets.

***If you would like your Offline Activities printed out and available to you at the vo-tech, please let me know!  PLEASE NOTE that I will need advance notice so that I can have them available to you in the Receptionist’s Office at Admiral Peary.

****Completed Offline Activities should be turned into me (either through email or they can be dropped off at the vo-tech with me or Mr. Capraun – If you drop them off at the vo-tech, please make sure that your name, your grade, and my name (Miss Hudak) is written on the papers somewhere).
